On a summer day in Tucson, Arizona, the life of 28-year-old Tyrell K. Havier was cut short by an act of violence. On the morning of June 6, 2023, near the intersection of Grant and Oracle, a shooting occurred that would leave one man dead and another injured. Tucson Police responded to the scene to find two individuals with gunshot wounds. Havier was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, but tragically, he did not survive.
The second victim at the scene was treated for minor injuries.
The investigation into the shooting led to the arrests of two men later that month. Ricardo Vivekes, 39, and Brennan Moristo, 26, were taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting. Both men are facing multiple serious charges, including first-degree murder and aggravated robbery, for their alleged involvement in the incident that led to Havier's death.
Following their arrests, Vivekes was ordered to be held without bond, while Moristo's bond was set at one million dollars. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains ongoing. Authorities have encouraged anyone with additional information to come forward and contact either 911 or 88-CRIME to assist in the case, with the option to remain anonymous.
