On a late summer evening in Omaha, Nebraska, the life of 26-year-old Lamar King, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 28, 2014, King was fatally wounded in a triple shooting that also left two others injured. The incident unfolded near 34th and Parker Streets, a scene that would soon be swarmed by the flashing lights of emergency responders.
