Jorge C. Cajiga-Ruiz, 29, a Hispanic/Latino male, was discovered before dawn on August 11, 2013, in a white Ford pickup near the swimming pool at Spring Lake Park, around 18th and F Streets in South Omaha. He and 26-year-old Juan Uribe-Peña had been shot in the head with a shotgun. Their pockets were turned out, wallets missing, and the truck sat quiet under the park lights—details that pointed investigators toward a robbery set-up rather than a chance encounter.
