Charles Rockwood, 47, a White male, was found dead in the early hours of May 24, 2020, in a South Omaha alley near 24th Street and Poppleton Avenue. Officers first responded at 2:10 a.m. to a well-being check that was quickly upgraded to a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered his body behind a nearby house and pronounced him dead at the scene.
