On August 3, 2020, Bennie Antonio Cartwright, a 36-year-old man from Omaha, Nebraska, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident. The Omaha Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the early morning hours around North 28th Avenue and Bristol Street in north Omaha. Upon arrival, officers discovered Cartwright already deceased from gunshot wounds.
