Lynell Green, a 30-year-old Black man, was shot to death inside his Omaha home just after midnight on December 13, 2011. Officers were called to the area near 33rd and Larimore streets, where they found him with gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead at the scene. His killing marked one of the cityï s late-year homicides in 2011, a crime that shocked relatives and neighbors who awoke to police lights and questions about how violence had crossed the threshold of his house.
