In the winter of 2011, the life of 25-year-old African-American/Black male Willie Alexander Longmore was tragically cut short. On the evening of February 23, 2011, in Omaha, Nebraska, Longmore was shot and killed near 39th Street. The incident added to a series of violent events that had plagued the area. Despite the presence of numerous witnesses, the specific circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear to the public.
