In the late hours of a Friday night in Omaha, Nebraska, the life of 17-year-old Mauricio Omar Chavez of Council Bluffs was tragically cut short. On November 17, 2023, the teenager was at the Sippin Sirens bar located in the area of 42nd and H streets when he was shot. The incident occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m.
