Late on the night of July 9, 2014, Wilmington police were called to the 100 block of East 22nd Street. They found Otis Saunders, a 27-year-old Black man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Newark, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
