On August 24, 2015, 27-year-old Shazim Uppal, a recent graduate of Temple University's Beasley School of Law, was found deceased in his vehicle in the parking lot of Genesis Healthcare on St. Claire Drive in Hockessin, Delaware. Responding officers discovered Uppal in the driver's seat with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso. Investigators recovered a substantial amount of marijuana from his car, leading them to believe the incident was not a random act of violence.
