On January 11, 2016, 20-year-old Ira D. "Mookers" Brown died following a home invasion in Wilmington, Delaware. Brown and 21-year-old Kaheel Parker forcibly entered an occupied residence in the 900 block of Brown Street in the Browntown area, intending to commit robbery. During the intrusion, gunfire erupted, resulting in Brown sustaining fatal injuries. He was transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, where he later died.
