On February 27, 2016, 31-year-old Clifton E. Thompson Jr. was fatally shot outside his residence at the Prides Court Apartments in Ogletown, Delaware. The incident occurred after a brief interaction in the apartment complex's parking lot. Thompson was transported to Christiana Hospital, where he succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
