Ismail Majid, a 17-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the afternoon of November 8, 2016, in Claymont, Delaware. At approximately 1:25 p.m., New Castle County Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Dewey Court in the Stoneybrook Apartments after receiving a report of gunfire. Officers arrived to find Majid suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Emergency personnel transported him to A.I. duPont Hospital for Children, where he died from his injuries.
