On the evening of July 14, 2021, a tragic shooting occurred in the Knollwood community of Claymont, Delaware, claiming the life of 16-year-old Jasir Brown, a male of African American descent. The incident unfolded around 9:40 p.m. on Balfour Avenue, where New Castle County police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire.
