Yaseem Powell, 18, a Black/African American male, was walking away from the Wilmington Job Corps Center on March 28, 2017, when two rivals began trailing him through the Riverside neighborhood. Surveillance cameras captured the pair—identified as Dai’yann Wharton and Benjamin Smith—shadowing Powell for multiple blocks toward the 2300 block of North Claymont Street.
