Andrew Xavier Burgos, a 27-year-old Black man, was fatally shot on the night of November 11, 2019, in Wilmington, Delaware. Although he had been born in Wilmington, Burgos was living in New Castle at the time of his death. Shortly after 10:00 p.m., Wilmington police officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Chestnut Street in the city's Hedgeville neighborhood after receiving a report of gunfire and an injured person.
