On October 20, 2019, a 48‑year‑old male victim identified as James Broadnax, of Wilmington, Delaware, was fatally shot while seated in his vehicle in the 300 block of North Franklin Street in Wilmington, Delaware. The victim, a 48‑year‑old male of Black or African American ethnicity, was in the driver's seat just before 10:15 a.m. when the incident occurred.
