Death by Force

Andrew Pennewell, 25, a Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of November 19, 2017, after Wilmington police were called to reports of gunfire around 7:23 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 3rd Street. Officers found him suffering from gunshot wounds; despite medical efforts, he died from his injuries. A second victim, a 24-year-old, was also struck by gunfire and critically injured that night.
