A Black / African American male, **22-year-old** Kellier Shyheim Flamer was shot on the evening of January 15, 2019 in Wilmington, Delaware, in the Hilltop neighborhood. Police responded at about 7:03-7:04 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 1200 block of Conrad Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Flamer suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was treated at the scene by medics, then transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Over the next several days, his condition remained grave, and on January 26, 2019, 11 days after the shooting, he succumbed to his injuries.
At the time of his death, Flamer was a resident of the unit block of Constitution Boulevard in New Castle. His shooting left a trail of unanswered questions: as of late 2024, the case remains unsolved. Investigators have been unable to identify or arrest any suspect or determine a motive. They continue to appeal to the public for information, offering anonymous tip lines via the Wilmington Police Department and Delaware Crime Stoppers.
