In the early morning hours of March 11, 2019, the life of 17-year-old Black female Janiya Henry was tragically cut short in a violent home invasion in Wilmington, Delaware. At approximately 4:30 a.m., neighbors reported hearing multiple gunshots coming from a residence on West 26th Street. Inside the home, police discovered the bodies of Janiya and her 17-year-old boyfriend, Christian Coffield.
