On the evening of February 15, 2020, 15-year-old Emoni Rivers-Boyd was found fatally shot inside an apartment on Bennett Court in the Newport Terrace Apartments, located in Newport, Delaware. Responding to reports of a shooting just before 10 p.m., Delaware State Police and Newport Police Department officers discovered Emoni deceased at the scene.
