On July 28, 2020, Milford police identified 70-year-old David W. Parcher as the victim of a fatal shooting at a Pennsylvania Avenue residence. Officers responded to a reported shooting at the home around 3:40 AM and found Parcher injured. He was transported to Bayhealth Sussex Campus by the Carlisle Fire Company, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
