On February 12, 2021, at approximately 6:15 a.m., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Carlisle Road in the Brookside community of Newark, Delaware. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old Zyitae Britt and 19-year-old Elijah Covington deceased inside the vehicle, both having suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
