On the morning of February 12, 2021, at approximately 6:15 a.m., New Castle County police officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Carlisle Road in the Brookside community near Newark, Delaware. Upon arrival, officers discovered two deceased male individuals inside the vehicle, both victims of apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were later identified as 19-year-old Elijah Covington and 20-year-old Zyitae Britt.
