Allen R. Huff, a 23-year-old Black male, was killed on the night of December 12, 2020, in Newark, Delaware, in a double homicide that also took the life of 18-year-old Iris Longakit. Police said officers were sent to the Hunters Crossing Apartments at 39 Fairway Road at about 9:17 p.m. after reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Huff and Longakit suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers tried to save them, but both victims died from their injuries at the scene.
