In the quiet town of Belzoni, Mississippi, the life of 19-year-old Zaquawn Deshan Tavion Byest was tragically cut short on the night of March 14, 2022. The young man, a male, was at his residence at the Willow Bend Estates Apartments when he received a phone call. Believing it was someone he knew, he stepped outside, unknowingly walking into a fatal encounter. He was shot and killed in an act that would later be described by law enforcement as a calculated luring.
