On August 12, 2021, at approximately 1:20 p.m., Wilmington Police responded to reports of a shooting near 4th and Harrison Streets. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Nyden Holmes suffering from gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
