Murdered

On April 20, 2008, 25-year-old Lashawn Covington was fatally shot in front of a residence in Portland, Maine, following his involvement in a home invasion. The homeowner, 45-year-old Randel Phillips, was initially charged with murder. However, the charge was later dismissed, and in June of that year, Phillips pleaded guilty to reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.
