On May 8, 2010, 38-year-old Jane Claire Tetreault was found dead in her Turner, Maine, home. Her husband, Brian Nichols, was taken into custody at the scene. Authorities reported that Nichols had contacted 911 around 3:30 a.m. to confess to the shooting, citing suspicions of his wife's infidelity, though investigations revealed no evidence supporting his claims.
