William Melton, a 54-year-old resident of Coram, Montana, was tragically shot and killed on February 14, 2019. The incident occurred at a residence in Coram in the early morning hours.

Law enforcement responded to reports of gunshots and found Melton dead at the scene. The investigation quickly led to the arrest of 19-year-old Martin Jay Chandler, who was apprehended in Columbia Falls shortly after the shooting.
