In the quiet town of Soda Springs, Idaho, the autumn of 1991 was shattered by a senseless act of violence that claimed the life of 23-year-old Tonya Crane. On October 16th, a man named Timothy Alan Dunlap entered the Security State Bank where Crane was working as a teller. Armed with a sawed-off shotgun, Dunlap demanded all the money from Crane. After she complied, handing over approximately $32,000, Dunlap fatally shot her at close range before fleeing the scene.
The search for the
person responsible was swift, as Dunlap was arrested on the very same day. During questioning by law enforcement, he not only confessed to the robbery and murder of Tonya Crane but also admitted to another brutal crime. Ten days prior to the bank robbery in Idaho, Dunlap had murdered his girlfriend, Belinda Bolanos, in Ohio with a crossbow.
