On New Year's Day 2020, the life of 23-year-old Jonathan M. Gilbert, a White male from Williamstown, Vermont, came to a tragic end. In the early hours of the morning, law enforcement officers came across Gilbert sleeping in his running vehicle. When they attempted to make contact, he sped away, leading to a brief pursuit.

The chase concluded when Gilbert's vehicle crashed into a tree on Rood Pond Road in Williamstown. Before officers could intervene, and while he was still inside the wrec ...
