On an autumn night in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the life of 22-year-old Marcos Cruz, a Hispanic male, was tragically cut short. On October 2, 2005, Cruz was sitting in his car on Weeden Street when he was fatally shot. He was not alone in the vehicle; a female companion was also present and sustained injuries but survived the violent encounter.
