On September 10, 2022, 21-year-old Kara Lynn Greger of Lake Andes, South Dakota, was fatally shot in Harrisburg, South Dakota. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a gunshot shortly after 1:00 AM and discovered Kara deceased upon arrival. Authorities indicated that the incident was isolated and posed no threat to the public.
