On June 13, 2006, Eric Edley, age 24, was shot and killed at approximately 2:56 a.m. in the 2400 block of Pomeroy Road, SE, Washington, D.C. The shooting occurred in the early hours of the morning, and officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene, but Edley succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
