On the evening of May 22, 2023, the life of 16-year-old James Moore, a young Black male from West Fargo, North Dakota, was tragically cut short by gunfire outside a Fargo apartment complex. The incident unfolded in the 4400 block of 9th Avenue South, where police responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 11:19 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Moore's body; despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
