Tara Isnin, a 33-year-old Singaporean woman, had recently moved to Hawaii to start a new life with her husband, Master Sgt. Leonardo Chavez, an Army soldier stationed at Camp Smith. They had been married just two months when tragedy struck on October 28, 2013. Police responded to a call at their Waikiki high-rise apartment and discovered Isnin's body.
