Tara Irdawati Isnin was a 33-year-old Asian woman whose life in Waikiki appears, from the reporting, to have been heartbreakingly brief and newly uprooted. She had moved to Hawaii from Singapore only weeks earlier to begin married life with her American husband, Leonardo “Leo” Chavez, and news accounts described the marriage itself as only about two months old when everything collapsed inside their Ala Wai Townhouse apartment on October 28, 2013.
