On November 16, 1974, Patrolman Allen Lee "Butch" Harmon, aged 27, and his colleague, Patrolman Otis Lee "Sonny" Robison, were tragically killed in the line of duty. The incident occurred after the officers made a traffic stop on Interstate 20, where they arrested a man suspected of drunk driving.
