On the morning of September 29, 2025, in a home on Taryn Trace in Lincoln, Alabama, 37-year-old male Gary Wayne Curry Jr. was found unresponsive after a single gunshot wound. First responders arrived around 6:50 a.m., and Talladega County Deputy Coroner Joshua Vincent pronounced him dead at the scene. Lincoln Police Chief Scott Bonner said early indications pointed to a tragic accident inside the residence.
