On June 12, 2019, 41-year-old Donald Edward Carroll was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking along Alabama State Route 77 near Speedway Boulevard in Lincoln, Alabama. The driver fled the scene without rendering aid. Authorities identified the suspect vehicle as a gray or greenish-gray Nissan Altima with significant front-end damage.
