On April 13, 2007, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Lawrence Prue, also known as Andre, was shot and killed at 3461 Eads Street, Northeast Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene, and despite an ongoing investigation, no suspects have been publicly identified to date. The case is classified as an unsolved homicide, and it remains under active investigation by the MPD’s Violent Crimes Branch.
