On a Friday afternoon in Washington, D.C., gunfire disrupted the day in the Congress Heights neighborhood. When police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1300 block of Savannah Place, Southeast, on April 18, 2025, they found a young man who had been shot. The victim, identified as 18-year-old Christopher Daniels of Southeast, D.C., was found unconscious and not breathing in the rear of the 1300 block of Congress Street, Southeast.
