In the early morning hours of February 1, 2007, the life of Marcel Erwin, a 41-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. At approximately 5:26 AM, authorities discovered Erwin in the 900 block of H Street, Northeast, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response of first responders, his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into his death was launched by the Metropolitan Police Department's
Violent Crimes Branch. The case remains an open and active homicide investigation. Authorities have reached out to the public for assistance in solving the crime, offering a significant reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Erwin's death.
