George Douglas Althouse, a Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), tragically lost his life on May 28, 1992, in Inverness, Alabama. The incident occurred when Althouse stopped at a convenience store in his undercover sports car. During this stop, a suspect attempted to rob and carjack him.
