In the late summer of 2005, a domestic disturbance call shattered the evening calm in Huntsville, Alabama, and ended the life of a dedicated police officer. Daniel Howard Golden, a 27-year-old male officer with the Huntsville Police Department, responded to a dispute at a restaurant on Jordan Lane on Monday, August 29, 2005.
