Dameon T. “Tiger” Harris, a 28-year-old male from Birmingham, Alabama, died on January 3, 2008, in a burst of violence that left more questions than answers. In the early hours of that Thursday, he was found shot on the 1300 block of 29th Street North, a residential stretch that suddenly became a crime scene—lights washing over pavement, investigators moving carefully through the cold facts of gunfire and silence.
