On January 12, 2008, 31-year-old Fredric "Micky" Rogers was found deceased inside a burning Cadillac at the intersection of Jersey Street and 15th Avenue in Birmingham's Wylam neighborhood. The Jefferson County Coroner determined that Rogers had died from a gunshot wound prior to the vehicle being set ablaze.
