In the early hours of a cold January morning in 2012, tragedy struck a home in the Ensley Highlands neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama, leaving five men dead in what would become a grim and widely reported case. Among the victims was 19-year-old Demetrius Sanders. The four other men who lost their lives on January 29th were Ronnie Render, 42, his son Charles 'CJ' Render, 21, Jeffery Davis Jr., 23, and Jonathan Sanchez, 23.
