On April 8, 2014, Patrick Duffee, a 29-year-old African American male from Cusseta, Alabama, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the chest. The incident occurred at a residence on County Road 177, which belonged to Steve Sorrells, the victim’s stepfather. Chambers County deputies responded to a 911 call from a family member at the scene and discovered Patrick Duffee deceased.
