On a late Sunday night in the small community of Midland City, Alabama, a tense situation unfolded that would end in the tragic death of 54-year-old Thomas Dobbs III. On August 25, 2024, law enforcement officers responded to a call about a suspicious circumstance at a residence on South County Road 67. Inside, they found 47-year-old Jason Leger armed and barricaded.
